Privacy policy
DEUCE does not collect your data. The app has no accounts, no server of its own, no ads and no analytics. Your photos, edits, rolls, settings and recipes stay on your phone. This page explains the permissions the app asks for and what each one is used for.
What stays on your device?
Photos, edits, rolls, settings and recipes are stored only in your phone's storage. We never receive them and cannot see them. To remove everything, delete the app.
The app declares to Apple that it does not track you and does not collect data types.
Which permissions does DEUCE ask for?
You can withdraw any permission in iOS Settings. Without location, you can set a fixed develop time in the app.
- Camera, so you can shoot inside the app. Frames stay on the device.
- Photos, so you can pick photos to edit and save finished frames to your library.
- Location while using the app, only to calculate your local sunrise, which is when a roll develops. Coordinates never leave the device.
- Notifications, for one local reminder when a roll is ready. It is created on your phone.
- Microphone is not requested.
What does an exported file contain?
You decide. Each exported file is built from scratch, and only the metadata you tick is written. Camera and capture date belong to EXIF. Coordinates are a separate switch and are off by default.
How are purchases handled?
DEUCE Club and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. Apple tells the app only which purchase is active.
What about the web version?
The web version keeps the same kind of data on your own device, in your browser. Photos you add stay there and are not uploaded by the app.
What about children?
DEUCE is not designed to collect data from children and does not collect data from anyone.
How will changes be announced?
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date. The app's own policy text, effective October 2, 2026, says the same: no accounts, no server, no ads, no analytics. For questions, see support.
